Spincast fishing reels are like hybrid between spinning reels and baitcasting reels. Spincast fishing reels are really spinning reels, but are designed to be operation in a similar fashion as baitcasting reels. The fishing line is spooled on the reel spool similar to the spinning reel and a button is used to release the line much like you would on some baitcast reels.

 

These fishing reels are great for beginner anglers who are just starting off. They are easy to operation and you don't have to worry about having control of the fishing line as much. The downside to this is that you lose a bit of sensitivity. But, if you are worried about sensitivity or are catching larger fish where sensitivity isn't a big deal, then spincast fishing reels are perfect for you!
