Inside Your Tackle Box
Fishing is much the same as any other recreational pastime in as much as it requires a degree of physical strength and fitness as well as some mental agility and awareness. Also a fisherman needs good quality equipment as does any sports person.
Whether you are a serious and competitive angler or a hobby and just for fun fisher man you still need good quality equipment if your fishing trips are to be as successful as planned.
Newcomers to the world of fishing, very often, think that all you need is a rod, reel, line, hook and a worm to be a good fisherman. However, you and I, experienced and wise ones, know that is not the case. We, as fisherman dedicated to our hobby or sport, know full well that we need a tackle box that contains all but the kitchen sink, (I will find away to include that one day), to ensure a good days fishing.
Never fear though should you be new to the fishing world. Initially you may feel that your tackle box is a tad lacking compared to that of your more experienced companions, but don't let this make you become despondent, all you need to start with is the basics on which to build.
One basic requirement is that you should have a good supply of various sized hooks, fishing line and, of course, weights. Regarding fishing line, make yourself aware of what line should go with what tackle. As for weights then your collection can be made up of various metals, however, try to steer away from lead because of the poison content.
Once you get into the swing of it you will soon have your tackle box brimming with all the paraphernalia of the most seasoned angler. You will be boasting a collection of different sized lures of all colors and shapes to suit the many types of fishing in which you may indulge. You may even, as many do, make your own lures, a pastime in itself.
Whatever you do as a newcomer or as an experienced angler, enjoy stocking your tackle box and you really don't have to dig too deeply into your pocket either.
