This pin oscillates in and out when casting and retrieving. It is also important that the drag mechanism has a facility for minute adjustments and that a smooth line release is achievable.
If you find a reel that has a bottom that has irregular shaping akin to a wave representation, then it would be wise to steer clear as these can have a very short life span once put to work.
Finally:
Once you have made the purchase of your quality spin-cast reel you will, almost certainly, want to replace the line that was supplied, as it ,most likely, is of inferior quality. Remember not to over fill your reel when loading line, as a rule of thumb stop re spooling around 1/8" from the edge of the spool.
